Risk Assessment

Have you participated in the identification of health and safety risks of your company?

Is a hazard the same thing as the risk?

Can you identify all types of hazards in your worplace?

Have you been informed of all the relevant hazards identified in the written Health & Safety document of your workplace/activity?

Have you identified possible hazards in your working environment before the starting your job (e.g. ground, working areas of high walls)?

Have you reported any situation which you consider hazardous and which you cannot correct yourself to the supervisor?

Have you informed your co-workers on the Health & Safety hazards associated with your job and any situations that you consider hazardous?

Have you checked the ground of your workplace for uneven surfaces, slide of materials, wet and slippery soil, gravel, inrush of water?

Are there obstacles in your workplace such as stones, large rocks, different levels of soil, cables?

Are there extreme weather conditions such as rain, wind, snow, ice, fog, heatwave that may affect your job?

Do you have adequate lighting to perform your job?

Are personal protective equipment the most effective way for a hazard control?

Have you discussed with your supervisor what measures should be in place and what work practices you should follow for your task?

Have you ever discussed with your supervisor any idea that could eliminate completely or substitute a hazard?
